There's a BIG difference between a snapshot and a professional image. Part of that difference lies in the post-processing of your images.

So when your photographer talks about 'editing’ your photographs, what does this actually mean?  I edit every single photo I present to my clients. Some photos require 2 minutes work, while others require up to an HOUR for a single image!  The amount of post-processing time a photo requires is not the result of a 'bad' original photo, but rather is dependant on what I want the final image to look like. To me that is a natural, clean photo achieved through cropping, straightening, adjusting colours, adding warmth, lightening dark shadows, removing distractions (such as the dog in the photo to the right and the small tire below), removing impermanent blemishes, and so much more.
